Antigoné
Nagyvárad Dance Ensemble
The central theme of the tragedy is the law, around which all actions and character developments are organized. Antigone is a tragedy of conflict, centred around a well-defined moral and philosophical contradiction. The feud between Antigone and Creon is not only on the confrontation between two minds - it is a much higher level conflict that represents the clash of the human world and divine order. These differences, human and social dilemmas are as relevant today as ever. Thanks to this, Antigone by Sophocles is perfectly suited to become a contemporary, non-verbal theatre performance.
